What it is

SovAI proprietary thermal management — engineered for AI-factory heat loads.

SovCOOL is a SovAI-developed liquid cooling system engineered for the continuous, high-density thermal profiles of AI-factory GPU infrastructure. The platform manages heat rejection from compute loads, recovers usable waste heat from eGEN engine exhaust and jacket water circuits, and integrates both streams into a unified thermal plant on each site.

SovCOOL is designed to comply with ASHRAE 90.4 — the mechanical and electrical efficiency standard for data centers — and is the product of sole-inventor engineering by Joe D. Doyle. No third-party cooling technology is incorporated into SovCOOL. The architecture, thermal recovery circuits, and control integration are SovAI proprietary.

SovAI proprietary technology — no third-party cooling vendor. SovCOOL architecture, thermal recovery, and control integration are developed exclusively by SovAI.

How it fits

The thermal loop that closes the SovAI platform.

SovGEN produces generation and waste heat simultaneously. SovCOOL captures the waste-heat stream from SovGEN exhaust and jacket water circuits and redirects it, reducing the net cooling load on the site and improving overall energy efficiency. The cooled compute environment directly supports the GPU clusters that eGRID energizes — SovCOOL and SovGRID operate in parallel as the two delivery layers of the SovAI platform.

SovCOOL thermal state data feeds into Scotty in real time. Scotty incorporates the site’s thermal position into generation and storage scheduling — if the cooling load increases, Scotty adjusts eGEN dispatch and eSTOR charge cycles to maintain thermal stability alongside compute uptime. Thermal management is not a separate system; it is part of Scotty’s continuous optimization loop.

Standards & compliance

SovCOOL regulatory and compliance posture

ASHRAE 90.4-2019

Energy standard for data centers — mechanical and electrical systems. Primary design standard governing SovCOOL’s thermal plant efficiency targets and system configuration.

ASHRAE TC 9.9

Thermal guidelines for data processing environments. Governs inlet temperature, humidity, and airflow envelope within which SovCOOL maintains GPU compute infrastructure.

ASHRAE 15

Safety standard for refrigeration systems. Applicable where SovCOOL incorporates refrigerant-circuit cooling in addition to waste-heat recovery loops.

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119

Process safety management of highly hazardous chemicals. Applicable to SovCOOL waste-heat recovery operations where threshold quantities of regulated substances are present.

NFPA 70 / NEC

National Electrical Code — electrical safety for cooling plant power distribution, motor branch circuits, and control wiring within the SovCOOL system.

ISO 14001

Environmental management framework. Applicable to SovCOOL waste-heat recovery operations and the environmental management system governing SovAI site operations.
